Ingredients

  • 2 lbs 900g chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Season wings with salt and pepper. Arrange on the baking sheet.
  • In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and pineapple juice. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  • Brush half of the glaze over the wings. Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Flip wings, brush with remaining glaze, and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, and extra pineapple. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil the wings for 2-3 minutes at the end of baking.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce if you prefer less salt.
  • Add a splash of lime juice for a zesty twist.
  • Double the glaze recipe if you like extra saucy wings.
  • These wings can also be grilled for a smoky flavor.
