Ingredients

  • 1 lb 450g boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger minced
  • 2 green chilies sliced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 medium tomatoes diced
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients: Chop the chicken, onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes. Mince the garlic and ginger.
  • Cook the Aromatics: Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onions until golden. Add garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the Chicken and Spices: Add chicken and cook until white. Stir in cumin, coriander, turmeric, and red chili powder.
  • Simmer the Sauce: Add diced tomatoes and tomato puree. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Stir in bell peppers and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Finish and Serve: Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with cilantro. Serve hot with rice or naan.
