Instructions
Sauté the Aromatics: Heat oil in a large pan. Sauté onions until golden, then add garlic and ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Add the Spices: Stir in cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, and chili powder. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
Simmer the Sauce: Add crushed tomatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes. Stir in chickpeas and water. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Finish and Serve: Stir in lemon juice and cilantro. Serve hot with rice or naan.
