  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hot dog buns

Instructions

  • Remove meat from cooked lobsters and chop into bite-size chunks.
  • Add chopped celery to the lobster meat.
  • Add mayonnaise gradually, a bit at a time, to avoid making the mixture too moist.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix all ingredients well.
  • Place one lettuce leaf in each hot dog bun.
  • Mound the lobster salad into each prepared roll.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Start with less mayonnaise than you think you need - you can always add more, but you can't take it away
For best results, use lobster that's been cooked and cooled completely before removing the meat
Top-split hot dog buns are traditional for lobster rolls and provide better presentation
Chill the lobster meat for 30 minutes before mixing for a revitalizing cold roll
Substitute Greek yogurt for half the mayonnaise for a lighter version
Toast the buns lightly with butter for added flavor and texture
