lime juice

or maple syrup

Instructions
In a saucepan, combine blueberries, lime juice, and honey. Simmer over medium heat for 10–15 minutes until thickened.
Remove from heat, blend until smooth, then stir in zest and salt.
Optional: Simmer another 5–10 minutes for a thicker consistency.
Cool and transfer to jars. Store in the fridge.
Notes
Thickness Tip
: For a thicker butter, cook longer or add 1 tsp chia seeds after blending.
Freezing
: Portion into ice cube trays for easy use later.
Spice Variation
: Add ¼ tsp cinnamon or ginger for warmth.

Mash with a fork for a chunkier texture.
